Hola, I’m Genesis
I’m a Portland based publicist and event planner. My career began in Los Angeles where my work focused heavily on building influencer relations for international brands making their way into the US market. After taking time “off” to fly the friendly skies - checking “Become a Flight Attendant” off my bucket list - I re-discovered my passion for community here in Portland, and food’s beautiful way of bringing people together. I found the opportunity to combine my love for food and people with a local agency where I worked with distilleries, restaurants and tastemakers that continue to change the industry in new and exciting ways.
In 2022, I launched Qué Chilero Group with the intention to help local businesses find their audience and bring together a network of creatives that are passionate about sharing others’ stories.
The name is an ode to my roots. Growing up in a loud, hispanic home, I was taught the importance of community and the key ingredients to sustaining it. At QCG, we aim to be an approachable business for both emerging and legacy brands. I look forward to connecting with you and helping share your story.
